How You Doing?

I’ve got a question for you.  How many books have you read since you’ve been forced to take a timeout?  How’s that second language coming?  Did you at least clean the garage like you said you were going to?  We all had these grand plans when the hammer came down and forced us to stop and take a breath.  Don’t worry I’m not here to chastise you for how productive you were these last few weeks, I’m here to ask just one question. 

How’s your health?  Yes, all of them; your physical health, your mental health, and your emotional health. 

One thing that has become abundantly clear during COVID quarantine is that many of us are struggling with our health.  For some of us it’s obvious, your physical health leaves something to be desired.  Others not so much.  Maybe the weeks dragging into months with no set end is beginning to wear you down.  Or maybe the distance that is now a part of our lives is making our already fragile relationships and connections that much harder to bear.  Whatever it is a lot of us need help. 

So here is my challenge.  I want, no I need, you to accomplish one thing during this mandated timeout.  Get it done before all of your life goes back to “normal†and you jump back on that distracted, overbooked, unhealthy track that got you here in the first place. 

Figure out how you’re going to improve your health on the other side of all of this.  Please take some time and really think about what you can do or who you can consult to help improve your time here on the 3rd rock from the sun.  It would be a shame if you didn’t.
